Extra-Curricular Activities
At Ebor Gardens Primary Academy, we pride ourselves on delivering a thorough, broad and balanced Physical Education Curriculum. We aim to provide our pupils with an extensive range of extra-curricular sporting activities, encouraging all of our pupils to be active and have a positive attitude towards physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. Our diverse programme enables pupils to access sports they may be familiar with or try out new sports so they will be inspired to participate in after school or in local clubs outside of school.
The after school clubs offer our pupils the opportunity to take part in a variety of physical activities and sports refining skills that they have learnt in their PE lessons and also the chance to develop important skills such as leadership and teamwork when working with other pupils throughout school. This will provide our pupils the opportunity to establish new and lasting friendships and gain the confidence to try things that they have never tried before.
We have a termly inter-house fitness competition and our range of intra-school competitions has expanded as pupils have the opportunity to participate competitively in Football, Tag Rugby, Kwik Cricket, Cross Country, Multi-skills, Tennis and Athletics.
Please refer to the Arbor Portal to see what clubs we have on offer. Our new list of clubs will be sent to parents towards the end of the term and you can sign up on Arbor for your child. Alternatively, speak to the school office who will be happy to assist.
